Dr Yekemi Otaru is a co-founder and Chief Growth Officer at Doqaru Limited. She is an award-winning entrepreneur who was recently named a LinkedIn Top Voice. In 2022, she was selected to be a part of LinkedIn's first UK Creator Accelerator Programme.
Yekemi is a published author on social media and has achieved top 100 rankings in five categories on Amazon UK. She has over 13,000 followers on LinkedIn and is known for sharing authentic personal stories and uplifting content.
In September 2021, Yekemi was appointed as Chancellor at the University of the West of Scotland (UWS). For her contributions and commitment to higher education and learning, she was awarded an honorary doctorate by UWS in June 2022.
Recently, Yekemi won the Social Entrepreneur of the Year award at the 4th Scottish Women Awards in 2022. She also won the Service Industries Entrepreneur of the Year award at the Great British Entrepreneur Awards in 2023.
